Funerals and Memorials

Celebrating life and giving thanks for eternal life

Scripture tells us that “In life and death we belong to God.” We offer our Chapel for guidance, comfort, prayers and a loving place for memorial or funeral services.

In preparation for a funeral or memorial service, our Pastor will help you and your family plan the service.

When looking to personalize a service, think about the meaningful moments you shared and the qualities that made your loved one unique. Reflect on their career, hobbies, interests and the places they cherished most. Creating a list of their passions, accomplishments and special memories can be a helpful starting point. These personal details can be thoughtfully woven into the service through readings, displays, music or shared stories, creating a tribute that truly reflects the life they lived.

There are many opportunities to display photos or share a video at a service. Photographs can also be printed in the memorial folders.

Live or pre-recorded music can be relaxing and comforting to those who have come to the service. We can help you select hymns or special music and arrange soloists for the service.

Mariner Sands Chapel has a strong tradition of employing former military chaplains to lead our community. We deeply honor the courage and sacrifice of those who have served our country.

Military funeral honors can be arranged to include the playing of “Taps,” a color guard and uniformed service members who present the United States flag to the grieving family.
