What to Expect

The Chapel is the heart of Mariner Sands

At Mariner Sands Chapel, you’ll be welcomed into a friendly Christian environment by community neighbors who are delighted to see you.

Come early. Sit anywhere you like. We’ll give you a worship program to follow the service. Hymnals and Bibles are on the shelf under the chair in front of you; however, you will find all the hymns and scriptures in the printed program.

At our Sunday worship you can expect:
· A warm greeting
· A service that lasts about one hour
· Thought-provoking Bible readings with a spirited, inspirational sermon
· Prayers of confession, intercession and benediction
· A mix of traditional and contemporary hymns, choral anthems and instrumental music.

Our worship is vital, engaging and traditional.

Our liturgy is simple, but not simplistic.

You will hear biblical-based sermons that connect to our personal lives.

You can expect a service that honors Jesus Christ.

Early in the service we “Pass the Peace.” This can be an awkward moment for people who are newcomers or visitors. What we are doing is enacting our need to be in the right relationship with one another before we worship together. We do that by saying “peace be with you” to one another. People may shake hands or embrace each other. You can greet the people right around you.

Communion

We celebrate Communion the first and third Sunday of each month. Communion is open to all confessing believers.

No matter where you are in your spiritual journey, you will find a safe place for worship and growth at the Chapel.
