White Dove Kids Benefit from Mariner Sands Generosity

,
Paper white doves decorating a Christmas tree

For 32 years, Mariner Sands members have made Christmas special for kids that may not have much under their tree.

Everyone in the community is encouraged to participate by stopping by the Chapel, selecting a dove off the tree, and leaving the dove number and your contact information in the notebook.

Each dove has the name, age and other pertinent information for one individual child.

Let your heart and imagination be your guide when choosing gifts. Most children express special interests and/or needs. Young children could be disappointed when toys are not provided, as well as needed clothing and sneakers.
In addition to fulfilling the child’s “wish list” please include a book or educational toy, if possible.

If you are buying a bike, please include a helmet and a lock.

If you are unable to shop, you may wish to make a contribution – we have “elves” who will do the shopping. Your check should be made out to Mariner Sands Chapel with “White Dove” written on the memo line and may be dropped off at the Chapel drop box by the library door or left in the Sunday collection.

We ask that you please pack your unwrapped gifts in a large plastic container. Tape your White Dove securely to the package, making sure the name and your White Dove’s number are clearly visible.

If you have more than one box, either make a copy of the White Dove and attach it to the second box or attach a piece of paper with the White Dove number. Please mark the boxes #1 of 2, #2 of 2 etc. Bikes must also have the Dove number taped on

the seat.

Please deliver your boxes to the front patio outside the Chapel no later than noon on Wednesday, December 1. Packages may be left from 9:00 a.m. to noon, Monday – Friday.
